Role & responsibilities

Vendor Lifecycle Management

- Own the end to end vendor lifecycle: application, documents, verification, approval & activation
- Run periodic re-validation of active vendors
- Resolve exceptions with clearly documented decisions

GST Compliance
- Enforce GSTIN validation, status checks, registration type and name & address match
- Review GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B filing history
- Stay current on RCM, e-invoicing, eway bill & ITC rules for scrap trading

KYC/KYB & Regulatory Checks
- Run KYC/KYB checks: PAN, bank account, address proof & Udyam
- Verify SPCB/CPCB, EPR & hazardous waste authorisations where applicable

Risk & Fraud Prevention
- Spot red flags: non-filers, mismatched details, fake or shell entities
- Build and maintain a vendor risk scoring framework & watchlist
- Own the escalation process for high risk vendors

Team Leadership
- Lead, train and set KPIs for a team of 4 to 5 executives
- Track onboarding TAT, rejection rate, document errors & query resolution time

Cross-Functional Partnership
- Single point of contact for onboarding queries from Marketplace, EPR, Operations, Finance & Legal
- Align with Finance & Legal on payment terms, tax & contracts




- Work with Tech to automate GST/PAN checks & dashboards

Preferred candidate profile Education & Experience

- Graduate in Commerce, Finance or Business
- CA Inter, CMA or MBA is a plus
- 7+ years in vendor onboarding, risk management & GST compliance
- 2+ years leading a team of 3 to 5 people

Technical & Functional Skills
- Strong working knowledge of GST: RCM, e-invoicing, e-way bill & ITC risk
- Hands-on KYC/KYB, vendor due diligence & fraud detection
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and comfort with dashboards
- Knowledge of EPR & waste regulations is a plus

Soft Skills & Competencies
- Sharp attention to detail and a strong eye for red flags
- Firm judgement; comfortable saying no to a risky vendor
- Clear communicator with business teams under tight timelines
- Coaches and holds a team to high standards
