Job Profile : Manager - Plant Operations & Production

ROLE OBJECTIVE To take complete plant-side ownership of FHICO's dry-mix construction chemicals manufacturing operation, starting with a lean production setup and progressively building capacity, systems and manpower as market demand grows. The role covers the full operating chain from raw-material planning and production through quality, packing, inventory and dispatch.

PRODUCT SCOPE

- Tile Adhesive (primary experience reference for hiring).
- Ready-Mix / Modified / Ultra Bond Plaster.
- FHICO Molecule Bonder.
- Future related dry-mix, cement-based construction chemical products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Production Planning & Execution

- Prepare daily/weekly production plans based on approved demand, confirmed orders and stock norms.
- Schedule product-wise batches; ensure approved formulation/BOM, weighing sequence, mixing time and batch procedure are followed exactly.
- Track output, yield, process loss, rework/rejection and capacity utilisation; scale production in a controlled manner as demand increases.

1. Raw Material & Stores Control

- Forecast raw-material and packing-material requirements, maintain minimum/reorder levels and raise purchase requisitions in time.
- Supervise receipt, identification, storage, lot/batch traceability, issue and consumption reconciliation.
- Prevent contamination, moisture damage, unauthorised substitution and avoidable wastage.

1. Quality & Batch Control

- Own incoming material checks, in-process checks, finished-product checks, pack-weight accuracy and batch consistency.
- Maintain retention samples, QC records,



batch traceability and quarantine/rejection procedures.
- Coordinate external laboratory or technical testing wherever required; no unauthorised formulation change is permitted.

1. Packing, Finished Goods & Inventory

- Control correct pack/SKU use, sealing, coding, manufacturing/batch marking, packing-material consumption and finished quantity reconciliation.
- Maintain physical accountability for raw material, additives, packing material and finished goods; coordinate system entries with commercial staff.
- Conduct routine stock verification and report discrepancies immediately.

1. Dispatch & Logistics Readiness

- Ensure order-wise material readiness, picking, quantity verification, loading and physical dispatch handover.
- Coordinate dispatch timing and transporter readiness with the commercial/operations team.
- Billing, selling price, customer credit and commercial approvals remain outside this role.

1. Manpower, Safety & Housekeeping

- Supervise mixer/machine operators, packing operators, helpers and loading/unloading labour.
- Allocate duties, monitor attendance/productivity, train workers on SOPs and enforce PPE, safety and housekeeping standards.

1. Machinery & Maintenance

- Ensure protected operation and preventive maintenance of ribbon blender, packing machine, conveyors, weighing systems and related utilities.
- Maintain breakdown/downtime records,

1. Documentation, Cost & Scale-Up

- Maintain production, consumption, batch, QC, maintenance, inventory and dispatch records.
- Track production cost drivers, material variance, labour productivity, machine downtime and wastage.
- Develop practical SOPs and prepare the plant for gradual addition of capacity, manpower, shifts and product lines.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

- Minimum Experience 5 years total manufacturing experience, including at least 3 years directly in Tile Adhesive / Dry-Mix Mortar / Wall Putty / Ready-Mix Plaster / cement-based construction chemicals.
- Preferred Experience 5-8 years overall, with hands-on responsibility for production, quality, raw material, packing, stores/inventory and labour.
- Industry Preference Candidates from Tile Adhesive manufacturing will receive first preference because the process discipline is closely aligned with FHICO’s planned dry-mix range.

QUALIFICATION

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical, Mechanical, Production, Industrial or Civil Engineering preferred.
- A strong technical candidate with relevant hands-on industry experience may also be considered.
- Technical Exposure Dry powder batching, micro-dosing/weighing, ribbon blender or equivalent mixer, packing machine, QC checks, inventory control, preventive maintenance and batch documentation.
- Personal Attributes Hands-on, disciplined, detail-oriented, quality-conscious, able to lead a small team, comfortable building systems from an early-stage plant and scaling gradually.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
