Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced NPD Manager with hands-on experience in the nutraceutical or dietary supplement industry to manage new product launches from concept to warehouse-ready stock.

The role involves end-to-end product development, formulation coordination, vendor management, packaging, regulatory compliance, quality testing, production planning and supply continuity for an existing kids nutrition portfolio.

The ideal candidate should have strong project management, communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, along with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple product launches.

Key Responsibilities

1. New Product Development and Project Management

- Manage end-to-end NPD projects from product brief and concept development to launch and warehouse delivery.
- Prepare project plans, timelines, budgets, milestones and project trackers.
- Coordinate formulation development, sampling, taste trials, costing, pilot batches and scale-up.
- Ensure timely product launches and coordinate handover to Supply Chain, Category and Marketing teams.

2. Vendor and Packaging Management

- Coordinate with contract manufacturers, suppliers and manufacturing partners.
- Manage production planning, manufacturing trials, batch execution and first-batch releases.
- Source and evaluate raw material and packaging vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, minimum order quantities,



lead times and payment terms.
- Coordinate packaging artwork, label approvals, dielines and printing requirements.

3. Regulatory Compliance and Quality

- Ensure compliance with applicable FSSAI nutraceutical regulations, ingredient requirements, labelling standards and product claims.
- Coordinate with Regulatory, Legal and Quality teams for product and packaging approvals.
- Review Certificates of Analysis (COAs), stability reports, microbiology results, heavy metal testing and product quality reports.
- Coordinate clinical and consumer studies, where required, with relevant stakeholders and external partners.

4. Existing Product Portfolio and Supply Planning

- Ensure uninterrupted availability of existing products through demand forecasting, procurement and production planning.
- Monitor inventory levels, stock cover, shelf life and manufacturing lead times.
- Drive cost optimisation, reformulation, alternate vendor development and packaging updates.
- Coordinate with manufacturers and supply chain teams to prevent stockouts.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

- Work closely with Marketing, Category, E-commerce, Design, Quality, Finance, Regulatory and Supply Chain teams.
- Conduct regular project reviews and maintain trackers for launch timelines,



risks and dependencies.
- Proactively identify bottlenecks and ensure timely resolution of project issues.

Mandatory Skills and Experience
- 35 years of experience in New Product Development (NPD) or project management within the nutraceutical, dietary supplement or nutrition industry.
- Proven experience managing product launches from concept to commercial production and warehouse delivery.
- Hands-on experience coordinating contract manufacturers, raw material suppliers and packaging vendors.
- Working knowledge of FSSAI regulations, nutraceutical compliance, product labelling and claims.
- Experience in production planning, material procurement and maintaining stock availability.
- Solid project management, stakeholder coordination, negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet launch deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in kids nutrition, children's supplements or paediatric nutrition products.
- Exposure to gummies, chewables, powders, shakes or other nutrition product formats.
- Experience with D2C brands and marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart and quick-commerce platforms.
- Experience coordinating clinical or consumer studies.
- Existing network of nutraceutical manufacturers, ingredient suppliers and packaging vendors.
