Job Summary

GM Tea Packers Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a skilled and responsible Maintenance Assistant to support our factory maintenance operations. The candidate will assist in maintaining production machinery, equipment, and facility infrastructure to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.

The ideal candidate should have 2–3 years of relevant maintenance experience, basic technical knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the maintenance, inspection, and repair of production machinery and factory equipment.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to minimize machine breakdowns and production downtime.
- Identify and report mechanical faults, equipment failures, and maintenance requirements.
- Assist maintenance technicians with mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks, as authorized and trained.
- Monitor machine performance and report unusual noise, vibration, overheating, or other operational issues.
- Maintain maintenance tools, spare parts, and equipment in an organized condition.
- Support maintenance activities for packaging machines, conveyors, motors, and other factory equipment, as applicable.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and breakdown reports.
- Follow workplace safety rules and ensure proper use of tools and equipment.




- Coordinate with production staff to complete maintenance work with minimum disruption to operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards in the maintenance area.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- ITI or relevant technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related trade preferred.
- 2–3 years of experience in industrial or factory maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of machinery maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Knowledge of industrial safety practices.
- Ability to identify faults and report technical issues promptly.
- Good teamwork, discipline, and time-management skills.
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing and packaging setting.
