Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Maintenance Technician to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery, electrical systems, and utility equipment to ensure smooth and uninterrupted plant operations. The candidate must follow safety procedures, maintenance schedules, and applicable pharmaceutical GMP requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of production machinery and equipment.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain and repair motors, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, conveyors, and other plant equipment.
- Support the maintenance of pharmaceutical production equipment such as mixers, granulators, tablet compression machines, coating machines, filling machines, and packing machines, as applicable.
- Assist in maintaining utility systems such as HVAC, air compressors, water systems, and other plant utilities, as assigned.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and ensure proper functioning of machinery.
- Maintain preventive maintenance schedules, equipment logbooks, and maintenance records.
- Coordinate with Production and Engineering teams to minimize equipment downtime.
- Follow safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices where applicable, and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with company SOPs, GMP requirements, and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in the maintenance area.




- Report recurring equipment problems and recommend corrective actions.
- Support equipment installation, servicing, calibration coordination, and qualification activities as required.

Educational Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering disciplines.
- Relevant technical certification or hands-on maintenance training is preferred.

Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in industrial or pharmaceutical equipment maintenance preferred.
- Freshers with relevant technical qualifications and practical knowledge may also apply.

Required Skills
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- Troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Basic understanding of preventive maintenance.
- Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and GMP requirements.
- Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to respond to equipment breakdowns and complete assigned work on time.
