- Education: Master’s degree in Library and Information Science

Experience: Prior experience working in a hospital, medical school, healthcare, or specialized clinical research library.

Key Responsibilities

- Literature Searching & Systematic Reviews: Conduct advanced literature searches on databases to support clinical queries, patient diagnoses, research projects, and medical publications.
- Collection Management: Select, acquire, catalog, and maintain medical books, electronic journals, clinical reference tools, and multimedia resources relevant to the hospital's specialties.
- Reference & Information Services: Answer reference queries from medical staff, provide guidance on utilizing research tools, and assist with information retrieval for complex clinical cases or grand rounds.
- Information Literacy Training:



Conduct orientations and training sessions for hospital staff and medical/nursing residents on how to effectively use library databases, citation management tools, and evidence-based practice resources.
- Copyright & Compliance: Ensure hospital-wide compliance with copyright laws, licensing agreements for digital journals, and institutional research policies.
- Interlibrary Loans (ILL): Coordinate with other medical libraries and networks to borrow or supply books and journal articles not available locally.
- Research & Publication Support: Collaborate with clinical researchers and medical staff on grant proposals, systematic reviews, manuscript preparation, and formatting citations.
