Role Description The Legal and Compliance Consultant is a full-time remote role responsible for ensuring Skillofy_AI’s operations, products, and partnerships comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and drafting contracts, policies, and terms of use, and advising on regulatory requirements related to edtech, data protection, and AI-driven solutions.

The consultant will design and maintain compliance frameworks, conduct risk assessments, and support audits and internal reviews to strengthen governance. This role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, operations, finance, and tech)



to embed compliance into workflows, delivering training and guidance on legal and regulatory topics, and monitoring regulatory changes that may impact the business. The consultant will provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice that supports innovation while managing risk.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance skills, including experience designing and implementing compliance programs.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to assess risk, interpret regulations, and translate complex requirements into actionable guidance.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to explain legal and compliance concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders and draft precise documentation.
- Candidates should possess foundational Finance knowledge to understand the compliance impact on financial processes, contracts, and business models.
- Relevant qualifications such as a law degree (JD/LLB or equivalent), compliance or risk certifications (e.g., CCEP, CRCMP), or similar credentials are beneficial.
- Prior experience in edtech, technology, SaaS, or AI-driven businesses, especially with data protection, IP, and commercial agreements, is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setup, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Robust ethical judgment, attention to detail, and familiarity with international regulatory frameworks are highly beneficial.
