We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Engineer (Lead) to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, API development, and enterprise system integrations.

The role involves building secure, reliable, and high-performance backend solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Implement integrations and orchestration between backend applications and enterprise systems.
- Design and optimize SQL queries, database interactions, and data access layers.
- Implement API security best practices, authentication, authorization, and secure communication.
- Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and API tests to ensure application quality.
- Collaborate with architects, frontend engineers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Follow engineering best practices for code quality, version control, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve application performance and stability.




- For Lead-level candidates, provide technical guidance, support design decisions, and mentor engineers.

Mandatory Skills & Experience
- Robust hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience developing and maintaining REST APIs and microservices.
- Strong understanding of SQL databases, query optimization, and database integration.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and API testing.
- Knowledge of API security principles and secure backend development.
- Proficiency in Git and version control workflows.
- Strong understanding of backend architecture, design principles, and software engineering best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an agile engineering environment.

Good to Have
- Experience integrating with SAP APIs, SAP OData services, or other enterprise platforms.
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure and cloud-based application development.
- Experience with messaging systems and event-driven architectures.
- Knowledge of payment system integrations.
- Experience integrating with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP platforms, or other enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with caching strategies and performance optimization techniques.
