Experience: 10+ years of professional experience in embedded hardware development for industrial drives, servo inverters, or comparable embedded electronic products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analysis, specification, design, verification and maintenance of embedded electronics for servo and frequency inverters.
- Schematic design of embedded circuits (MCU/SoC interfaces, power management, analog frontends, protection and monitoring).
- Support PCB layout by defining constraints and design rules (SI/PI, EMC/EMI, highspeed interfaces) and performing layout reviews.
- Hardware bringup and debugging on prototypes (powerup sequencing, clocks, resets, interfaces) in close collaboration with firmware.
- Definition and execution of verification plans (electrical, functional, environmental) and support for EMC/EMI troubleshooting.
- Component selection, derating, reliability considerations, and management of parts qualification for embedded electronics.
- Collaboration with Manufacturing/EMS for product industrialization, test strategy and series rampup.
• Documentation of design decisions, test results, and support during approvals/certifications (e.g., CE/UL) when required.
Skills Mandatory:
- Solid experience in embedded hardware design: schematics, component selection, and design reviews.
- Robust knowledge of power supplies and power management (DC/DC, LDOs, sequencing, supervision,
brownout behaviour).
- Good understanding of analog and digital circuit design (ADC/DAC, opamps, filters, sensors, digital interfaces).
- Experience with MCU/SoC hardware interfaces (SPI, IC, UART, CAN, Ethernet, PWM, ADC) and related signal integrity constraints.
- Handson experience in lab debugging using oscilloscope, logic analyzer, multimeter, power analyzer, and soldering/rework basics.
- Experience with PCB design flows and EDA tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence, Mentor) and ability to perform layout reviews.
- Understanding of EMC/EMI fundamentals and troubleshooting techniques in embedded systems.
• Familiarity with structured development processes, documentation, and configuration/change management.
Skills Desirable:
- Experience with highspeed interfaces and Signal/Power Integrity (DDR, LVDS, highspeed serial, impedance control).
- Experience with industrial drive electronics, functional safety considerations, and compliance constraints.
- Basic firmware/embedded software understanding to support bringup and crossdebugging (e.g., JTAG/SWD, boot logs).
- Experience with automated hardware test setups and scripting (Python/Lab tools) and CI concepts for HW verification.
• Knowledge of DFM/DFT and collaboration with EMS/manufacturing for series production.
