Overview

We need a Lead Business Analyst (BA) for a transformation program. The program covers master data and governance, alignment with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 FO), data engineering in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and process automation.

This is a full-time job. You lead the business analysis program. You are responsible for the quality, traceability, and sign-off readiness of the requirements. You lead the discovery of requirements. You change business needs into data rules, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria that you can test. You manage the backlog of work for the client. You prioritize the backlog and control changes with a model that agrees with the program management office (PMO).

You set the sequence of deliverables across the program. These items must be approved before the dashboard and automation work that depends on them starts: master data management (MDM) rules, data ownership, key performance indicator (KPI) definitions, and data standards.

The role covers these areas:

- Master data, governance, and alignment with D365 FO
- Microsoft Fabric data platform, analytics, and Power BI
- Process automation and business controls

Responsibilities You are responsible for five areas. One area is governance, which applies to all work. The other four areas are workstreams.

Requirements governance and BA leadership

- Lead the business analysis program. Set the BA standard: templates, traceability, criteria for when work is ready and when work is done,



and program governance criteria.
- Run discovery with client stakeholders. Own the requirements backlog. Own the RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies), decision, and change-control logs. Report the status to the steering group.
- Own the acceptance process: user acceptance testing (UAT), defect triage, cutover readiness, and handover to business-as-usual (BAU) operations. Sequence the work so that approved data rules and definitions come before the work that depends on them.

Master data and D365 FO alignment

- Define ownership, stewardship, and decision rights for customer, vendor, product, stock keeping unit (SKU), and pricing data.
- Define data quality (DQ) rules, a DQ scorecard, and controls for the creation of new products and SKUs.
- Align master data with D365. Support data cleansing, reconciliation, and cutover readiness.

Data platform and Microsoft Fabric

- Define the business and governance requirements that the Fabric architecture must meet. These include data domains, source of truth, data freshness, data retention, and data access.
- Specify the rules for programs with more than one legal entity. Cover currency, fiscal calendar, intercompany transactions, and restatement.
- Review integrations from a business view. Write acceptance criteria for data products and pipelines.

Analytics and Power BI

- Review all existing reports. For each report, decide to keep it, retire it, or rebuild it.
- Build the KPI catalog. Collect the reporting needs of the finance,



supply chain, customer experience (CX), and warehouse teams.
- Write specifications and acceptance criteria for priority dashboards. Validate the delivery. Own the review after rollout.

Process automation and controls

- Prioritize the manual tasks for automation with Power Automate and D365 workflows.
- Define business rules, approval controls, and acceptance criteria. These must keep the financial and master data controls.
- Validate the automations with business users. Set the baseline of benefits with the process owner.

Qualifications

Required

- At least 7 years of experience as a BA on enterprise resource planning (ERP), data, or analytics programs. This includes hands-on experience with D365 FO.
- Experience as a leader of BAs or of an analysis workstream. Experience in client-facing work, including scope control and change control.
- Solid knowledge of supply chain: procurement, sales, inventory, warehouse, and master data.
- Working knowledge of data platforms, business intelligence (BI), and process automation. The knowledge must be sufficient to specify and validate requirements.
- Experience in UAT. Experience as owner of a delivery backlog in Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Skill in Structured Query Language (SQL) and data profiling to validate requirements.
- Experience in programs with more than one legal entity and more than one country.

Preferred

- Background in manufacturing, distribution, or consumer goods.
- A relevant certification, for example MB-330, PL-300, CBAP, or DP-600.
- Experience in data governance and control.
