Responsibilities

- Department Strategy Planning: Develop and implement departmental plans aligned with Venture Center s priorities, focusing on capability development, service growth, operational efficiency and financial sustainability.
- Technical Service Leadership: Oversee the department s technical capabilities, analytical workflows, method development and troubleshooting to ensure reliable, high-quality and timely services.
- Project Quality Management: Ensure effective project execution, client deliverables, quality systems, data integrity, documentation and compliance with relevant procedures.
- Business Development Financial Management: Drive business development, client engagement, proposals and current service opportunities while managing budgets, costs, revenue and asset utilization.
- People Capability Development: Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams through mentoring, performance management, training and capacity building.
- Infrastructure Stakeholder Management: Oversee instruments, facilities, consumables and vendor relationships, and collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to strengthen departmental performance and impact.

Candidate Profile

- Postgraduate degree in a relevant scientific or technical discipline; a PhD would be an advantage.
- Significant experience(12+ yrs) in analytical services, laboratory operations, scientific instrumentation or a related field.
- Experience leading technical teams and managing analytical services, projects,



quality systems and laboratory infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to develop client relationships, prepare technical proposals, identify business opportunities and contribute to revenue growth.
- Experience in budgeting, resource planning, vendor management and operational decision-making.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to balance scientific and technical excellence with business development, service delivery and organizational priorities.
