Preparation

- Collect metal samples from the melting furnace and pouring process as instructed.

Laboratory Testing

Support

- Assist the Lab Technician in operating the spectrometer after appropriate training and authorization.

- Support chemical composition testing of SG iron and grey iron.

- Assist in preparing samples for microstructure and graphite nodularity examination.

- Support hardness testing and other physical tests as assigned.

- Inform the Lab Technician immediately about abnormal test results.

C.

Equipment

Maintenance

- Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and testing accessories.

- Ensure proper handling of spectrometer samples and testing instruments.

- Assist with routine equipment checks and calibration activities.

- Report equipment malfunctions to the Laboratory In-Charge.

D.

Quality

Control





- Maintain proper identification of furnace, ladle, and casting samples.

- Assist in recording chemical composition and other test results.

- Support the maintenance of laboratory registers and inspection records.

- Follow approved testing procedures and work instructions.

- Ensure that samples are handled according to established quality procedures.

- Prepare samples for chemical analysis using a spectrometer.

- Prepare samples for microstructure examination and nodularity testing.

- Identify, label, and maintain samples for traceability.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
