Job title: Junior Architect

About the role A Junior Architect supports the design team by drafting, modelling and preparing drawings under senior architects. Fresh out of study, they develop details, make 3D models, prepare presentation and working drawings, and learn how a project moves from concept to construction. They are building the skills and judgement of a full architect.

A good Junior Architect produces accurate, tidy drawings, learns quickly from feedback, coordinates details carefully, and steadily take on more of a project's design work as their experience grows.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare drafts, plans, sections and details under the guidance of senior architects.
- Build 3D models and prepare presentation views for design reviews.
- Develop working drawings and detailing for assigned parts of a project.




- Incorporate revisions and reviewer feedback into the drawings accurately.
- Help compile drawings and documents for statutory approval submissions.
- Coordinate easy design details with consultants under senior supervision.
- Maintain drawing files, versions and the office drawing standards.
- Prepare material and finish references and options for senior review.
- Take site measurements and photographs to support the design team.
- Learn building codes, detailing and coordination through everyday project work.

Requirements
- Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch)
- Command of drafting and modelling software
- Minimum 2 years in architecture
