Job Summary The Tele Counsellor in the Admissions Department is responsible for handling prospective student enquiries through phone calls, emails, WhatsApp, and other communication channels. The role involves guiding students and parents regarding university programs, admission procedures, eligibility criteria, fees, scholarships, and enrolment processes, while ensuring a positive counselling experience and achieving admission targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle inbound and outbound calls from prospective students and parents.
- Counsel students regarding academic programs, career opportunities, eligibility criteria, fee structure, scholarships, and admission procedures.
- Follow up with leads generated through marketing campaigns, websites, events, and walk-ins.
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries, follow-ups, and conversions in the CRM/system.
- Achieve assigned admission and conversion targets.
- Coordinate with academic departments and admissions teams for updated program information.
- Assist students throughout the admission and enrolment process.
- Respond promptly to email, chat, and WhatsApp enquiries.




- Schedule counselling sessions, campus visits, and interviews, where applicable.
- Build strong relationships with students and parents to enhance trust and satisfaction.
- Provide regular reports on lead status, conversions, and counselling activities.
- Participate in admission drives, education fairs, webinars, and promotional activities, when required.

Required Skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and regional languages.
- Solid interpersonal and counselling abilities.
- Good convincing and negotiation skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and CRM tools.
- Ability to work with targets and deadlines.
- Strong follow-up and relationship management skills.
- Professional and student-friendly approach.

Preferred Competencies

- Experience in higher education admissions.
- Knowledge of university admission processes and educational programs.
- Ability to handle multiple student enquiries efficiently.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
