Roles and Responsibilities :

- Assign accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS codes to patient records based on diagnosis, procedure, and other relevant information.
- Review medical documentation such as clinical notes, lab results, and radiology reports to determine code assignments.
- Ensure compliance with CMS guidelines and regulations when coding for Medicare patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve any discrepancies or questions related to code assignment.

Job Requirements :

- 1-5 years of experience in IP DRG (International Provider Data Record) coding using CCS (Clinical Classification System), CIC (Clinical Information Content), or PCS (Procedure Code System).
- Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
