Core Technology Infrastructure (CTI), part of the Global Technology & Operations organization, consists of more than 6,600 employees worldwide. With presence in more than 35 countries, TI designs, builds, and operates end-to-end technology infrastructure solutions and manages critical systems and platforms across the bank. TI delivers industry-leading infrastructure products and services to the company’s employees, customers, and clients around the world.

An Infrastructure Engineer for Db2 z/OS is required to support software installation,



upgrades, maintenance, 24x7 on-call coverage, disaster recovery testing, automation, monitoring, alerting, and security administration for resilient mainframe database and replication services.

The role contributes to the installation, upgrade, maintenance, certification, and operational support of IBM Db2 for z/OS and replication products, including Q Replication, SQL Replication, and CDC.

The engineer will help maintain service stability through monitoring, automation, security administration, documented operational procedures, disaster recovery readiness, and effective coordination with internal support teams, software vendors, and management.

Responsibilities*

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Install, upgrade, maintain, test, and support IBM Db2 for z/OS and replication products, including Q Replication, SQL Replication, CDC etc.

· Perform software certification testing and maintain clear operational, maintenance, and recovery procedures.

· Support disaster recovery planning and testing to validate service recoverability and operational resilience.

· Develop and enhance automation, monitoring, alerting, health checks, and operational controls.

· Administer security-related activities, including access controls, RACF coordination, TCP/IP connectivity, and network certificates.

· Analyze and resolve complex Db2, replication, infrastructure, performance, and production support issues.

· Work with support teams, software vendors, and management; communicate technical risks, status, and resolution plans clearly.

· Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and provide off-hours support as required.

Requirements*

Education* B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/Computer Science degree preferred or substantially equivalent experience.

Experience Range* 8-10 years

Foundational Skills

· Hands-on experience supporting IBM Db2 for z/OS and replication products, including Q Replication, SQL Replication, and CDC.

· Experience with software installation, version upgrades, maintenance, certification testing, operational documentation, and disaster recovery testing.

· Ability to participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and provide off-hours production support when required.

· Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and production incident resolution skills.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with support teams, software vendors, and management.

Desired skills

· Experience supporting BMC for Db2 tools, IBM z/OS Connect, and Software AG ADABAS and Natural products.

· Programming or automation experience with REXX.

· Working knowledge of SQL, JIRA, SMP/E, RACF, TCP/IP, network certificates, and Splunk.

· Working knowledge of other mainframe subsystems, including CICS, IMS, and MQ.

Work Timings*

11:30 to 20:30 IST (Monday-Friday)

*The schedule would likely start later in the India day initially to perform cross training
