Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mangaluru for an NCLEX/USRN Qualified Subject Matter Expert (SME) in US Healthcare and Clinical Review. The SME will conduct detailed clinical reviews of medical records and healthcare documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance with US healthcare standards, and appropriate utilization of services.

Responsibilities include interpreting clinical information, applying evidence-based guidelines, and supporting quality assurance processes for healthcare-related operations. The role involves mentoring and guiding team members on USRN standards, NCLEX-related clinical concepts,



and US healthcare protocols, as well as collaborating with operations and quality teams to improve clinical review workflows. The SME will also support training initiatives, participate in audits, and contribute to continuous process improvement in clinical evaluation and documentation standards.

Qualifications

- Active USRN license and successful completion of NCLEX-RN examination, with strong knowledge of US healthcare standards and clinical practice.
- Experience in clinical review, utilization review, or medical record evaluation within US healthcare or related domains.
- Strong clinical judgment, ability to interpret medical documentation, and familiarity with evidence-based guidelines and protocols.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor and train team members in clinical and US healthcare concepts.
- Comfort working in an on-site environment in Mangaluru, with solid professional ethics, attention to detail, and commitment to quality and compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or an equivalent clinical qualification; prior experience in BPO/healthcare process outsourcing is an advantage.




- Willingness to work aligned with organizational processes and shift requirements, and openness to ongoing learning in evolving US healthcare practices.

Key Responsibilities

Perform medical necessity and clinical reviews of authorization requests as per regulatory guidelines and SOPs.

Apply clinical knowledge to assess medical appropriateness of healthcare services.

Support training, quality management, data analysis, reporting, and new project implementation.

Work with Utilization Management (UM) processes and Milliman Care Guidelines (MCG).

Demonstrate knowledge of US healthcare, managed care, acute care, emergency room, cardiology, and radiology.

Understand ICD and CPT codes.

Prepare reports using MS Excel and ensure effective verbal and written communication.

Required Skills

Strong understanding of US healthcare operations.

Experience in clinical review, medical necessity, or prior authorization preferred.

Knowledge of utilization management and clinical guidelines.

SME experience in training, quality, and reporting.
