Job Summary

AISC teachers are responsible for ensuring that all instructional and assessment practices, curriculum development, classroom management, and professional growth align with and contribute to the School s Mission, Core Values, and Vision for the AISC Learner. Duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

- Designing and delivering a rigorous, engaging, and conceptually connected science curriculum for Grades 9-10 that approaches science through authentic phenomena grounded in NGSS standards. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in integrated science pedagogy and a strong commitment to hands-on inquiry based, student-centered learning, alongside demonstrated expertise teaching Chemistry and / or Biology at the advanced levels. Experience teaching additional advanced-level science courses is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

1. At least 4-5 years of relevant experience working as a science teacher in a similar capacity
2. Experience teaching IB Diploma Chemistry or Biology up to HL and / or AP Science Courses preferred
3. Valid Teaching credential
4. A record of continued professional growth
5. Experience working with English as Additional Language learners
6. Experience teaching and learning in a technology-integrated workplace
7. Experience in leading co-curricular activities
