Job Summary

AISC teachers are responsible for ensuring that all instructional and assessment practices, curriculum development, classroom management, and professional growth align with and contribute to the School's Mission, Core Values, and Vision for the AISC Learner. Duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

- Designing and delivering a rigorous, engaging, and conceptually connected science curriculum for Grades 9-10 that approaches science through authentic phenomena grounded in NGSS standards. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in integrated science pedagogy and a strong commitment to hands-on inquiry based, student-centered learning, alongside demonstrated expertise teaching Physics at the advanced levels. Experience teaching additional advanced-level science courses, particularly Chemistry or Biology, is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

1. At least 4-5 years of relevant experience working as a science teacher in a similar capacity
2. Experience teaching IB Diploma Physics up to HL and / or AP Science Courses preferred
3. Valid Teaching credential
4. A record of continued professional growth
5. Experience working with English as Additional Language learners
6. Experience teaching and learning in a technology-integrated environment
7. Experience in leading co-curricular activities
