Role & responsibilities
Minimum 3+ years experience within a SOC, cyber security operations, infrastructure, cloud,
or technical support environment
- Robust understanding of computer networks, operating systems, security principles, and common attack techniques
- Relevant security or technical certifications, or demonstrable equivalent experience, such as Security+, BTL1, SC-200, Network+, CCNA, or similar
- Practical exposure to Microsoft Sentinel Security Information and Event Management (SIEM),
Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and security monitoring technologies
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Defender XDR or comparable detection and response platforms
- Ability to read, interpret, and adapt scripts or queries using PowerShell, Python, Bash, KQL,
or similar languages
- Understanding of cloud environments and associated security concepts across platforms such as Azure, AWS, or similar
