Role Title: High Touch Engineer / Senior Network Consulting Engineer - Routing, Switching DC

Work Location: Client Onsite - National Stock Exchange (NSE),BKC Mumbai

Working Model: Onsite (Rotational Morning/Afternoon shifts; 24x7 readiness with Night shifts during approved Maintenance Windows)

Experience Level: 8-15 Years

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced, customer-facing High Touch Engineer (HTE) to lead incident management, network architecture compliance, and complex maintenance window execution for mission-critical Data Center and enterprise campus networks. The candidate will drive proactive network lifecycle management, ensure adherence to Cisco Gold Standards, and serve as the primary technical lead for high-severity network events.

Key Responsibilities

Incident Escalation Leadership: Lead real-time troubleshooting for critical P1/P2 incidents, coordinate root cause analysis (RCA), and interface with Cisco TAC and internal architecture teams.

Change Execution Maintenance: Author Methods of Procedure (MoPs), lead approved change windows, and execute complex migrations and upgrades during night maintenance windows.

Proactive Life-Cycle Services: Conduct software bug scrubs, PSIRT security advisory audits, hardware/software end-of-life reviews, and device health audits.

Configuration Compliance Hardening:



Audit network nodes against hardening benchmarks, eliminate configuration drift, and ensure continuous baseline compliance.

Best Practice Implementation: Benchmark and optimize live configurations against Cisco Validated Designs (CVD) across routing, switching, timing, and multicast architectures.

Required Technical Skills Expertise

Routing Protocols: Deep hands-on mastery of OSPF, BGP (eBGP/iBGP/MP-BGP EVPN), route redistribution, route-maps, prefix-lists, and path selection tuning.

Data Center Switching Technologies: Advanced expertise in vPC (virtual Port-Channel), Spanning Tree Protocols (STP / Rapid-PVST / MST), VLAN segmentation, LACP, and VXLAN EVPN fabrics.

Timing Network Synchronization: Practical configuration and troubleshooting of Precision Time Protocol (PTP / IEEE 1588v2) and Network Time Protocol (NTP) in high-frequency trading / financial environments.

Hardware Platforms: Extensive experience managing, upgrading, and troubleshooting:

Cisco Nexus Series: N9000,N3000 (NX-OS)

Cisco ASR Series: ASR 1000 Series Enterprise Routers (IOS-XE)

Cisco Catalyst Series: Cat9K, Cat6K, Cat4500/3850 switches

Cisco Catalyst Series: APIC/ACI- valuable to have

Lifecycle Management: End-to-end execution of In-Service Software Upgrades (ISSU), non-disruptive patching, and hardware chassis/line-card replacements.

Qualifications Certifications

Education: B.E. / B.Tech / BCA / MCA in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field experience.

Certifications: CCNP Enterprise / Data Center (Required); CCIE RS / Enterprise / Data Center (Strongly Preferred).
