Role Description The Heating Air Conditioning Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for designing and detailing HVAC systems for a range of building projects. Day-to-day work includes preparing load calculations, equipment sizing, duct and piping layouts, and coordination drawings in line with project requirements, codes, and standards. The role involves collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders, including architects, structural engineers, and MEP disciplines, to ensure integrated and effective HVAC solutions.





The engineer will review and interpret design briefs, specifications, and tender documents, support preparation of BOQs and technical submissions, and provide design clarifications during project execution. The position also includes participation in site visits, design reviews, and value engineering to optimize performance, energy efficiency, and maintainability of HVAC systems.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in HVAC Design and HVAC system configuration, including load estimation, equipment selection, and layout planning.
- Applied knowledge of Plumbing systems and integration with mechanical building services.
- Ability to perform detailed engineering Calculations related to airflow, heat transfer, pressure drop, and energy performance.
- Educational background in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, IS codes, NBC) and best practices in sustainable building design.
- Experience with CAD/BIM tools for MEP design and coordination (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP) is highly beneficial.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams and participate in site reviews.
- Previous experience in HVAC design for residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects in a consultancy or contracting environment is an advantage.
