Head of IT Services

We’re looking for an entrepreneurial Solutions Leader who has helped a small IT services business grow by winning clients, building the right team and delivering solutions that customers value.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who combines technical credibility with commercial drive. You’ll shape our services proposition, develop international client relationships and build the internal capability needed to deliver and scale.

You should be comfortable taking an opportunity from the first client conversation through solution design, commercial agreement and delivery mobilization.

What you’ll do

- Shape the services proposition: Define and develop IT services offerings around customer needs, market opportunities and our ability to deliver.
- Win new business: Open doors, build relationships with decision-makers and personally lead opportunities from discovery through to signed agreements.
- Design credible solutions: Translate business challenges into transparent technical proposals, delivery approaches, scopes of work and commercial offers.
- Build the team: Identify the capabilities we need, recruit the right people and develop a team that can support business growth.
- Connect sales and delivery: Ensure client commitments are realistic, appropriately resourced and commercially sound, with clear ownership throughout delivery.
- Create a repeatable approach: Establish practical processes, reusable proposals and solution frameworks that help the business grow consistently.
- Develop key accounts: Build trusted client relationships,



identify further opportunities and turn successful delivery into repeat business.
- Lead from the front: Set clear expectations, coach the team and create an setting where people take ownership and deliver.

What you’ll bring

- A demonstrable track record of helping a small IT services business scale, with clear evidence of your personal contribution to client acquisition, team growth and commercial results.
- Experience personally winning new clients and developing substantial, long-term customer relationships.
- The ability to lead solution discovery and design, drawing on technical specialists where needed and communicating confidently with both business and technology stakeholders.
- Experience building internal technical and delivery teams, including hiring, developing leaders and establishing effective ways of working.
- Strong commercial judgement across proposals, pricing, scope, delivery costs and profitability.
- The ability to operate effectively when structures and processes are still being built, making decisions and turning plans into action.
- An engaging, credible leadership style that earns client confidence and motivates people.
- Experience working with international clients and stakeholders, with the communication skills and cultural awareness to represent the business globally.
- Experience working in the USA or Europe would be a strong advantage.
