Dispatch

Operations & Inventory Coordination

- Direct day-to-day operations of the finished goods (FG) warehouse, packaging bay, loading docks, and dispatch yard.

- Coordinate with Production, Quality Assurance (QA), and Planning (PPC) to ensure finished sheet metal components meet inspection standards before release.

- Verify part counts, drawing revisions, and bundle/pallet lists against Customer Purchase Orders and Shipping Delivery Challans / Invoices.

- Manage Finished Goods (FG) inventory levels, maintaining 100% stock accuracy in the ERP system (SAP/Oracle/Tally).

1. Specialized Packaging & Product Preservation

- Establish strict packaging protocols for various sheet metal finishes (powder-coated, galvanized, stainless steel, aluminum, anodized, or painted parts) to prevent scratches, denting, rust, or transport deformation.

- Oversee proper usage of protective materials: VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) paper/bags, stretch films, bubble wrap, corner guards, wooden crates, and custom steel pallets/racks.

- Ensure heavy or bulky sheet metal assemblies are balanced, securely tied down, and strapped safely for sea, rail, or road transit.

1. Logistics, Transport & Fleet Management

- Plan optimal transport routes, vehicle allocation, and trailer loading schedules to reduce freight costs and ensure On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery.

- Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, transporters,



and freight forwarders; negotiate freight rates and service level agreements (SLAs).

- Ensure strict adherence to statutory transportation guidelines, including weight limits, axle loads, e-way bills, commercial invoicing, and export documentation (if applicable).

- Monitor vehicle turn-around time (TAT) at loading docks to eliminate driver idle time and demurrage charges.

1. Material Handling & Safety Compliance

- Supervise dock workers, forklift drivers, overhead crane operators, and rigging personnel to maintain zero-damage material handling.

- Ensure compliance with plant safety guidelines (EHS/OHSAS) regarding heavy metal handling, sharp edge management, loading dock operations, and personal protective equipment (PPE).

- Maintain material handling equipment (MHE) such as forklifts, hydraulic stackers, overhead cranes, and strapping machines in coordination with maintenance teams.

1. Leadership & Process Improvement

- Lead, train, and manage a team of dispatch supervisors, storekeepers, loaders, and administrative staff.

- Implement 5S methodologies, lean logistics, and Continuous Improvement (KAIZEN) practices across the dispatch section.

- Track and report key departmental metrics (KPIs): On-Time Delivery (OTD), Dispatch Accuracy, Packaging Cost per Unit, Transit Damage Rate, and Dock Turnaround Time.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
