About the Role

Our Client is looking for a visionary and seasoned financial leader into the role of Group Financial Controller. This critical leadership position will drive corporate financial strategy, lead digital transformations and oversee operations across our client corporate office in Bangalore expanding retail chain stores across Karnataka and group company into food products manufacturing.

Job Overview

- Position: Group Financial Controller
- Location: Bangalore (Corporate Office). Candidate must be a current resident of Bangalore.
- Travel: Regular visits to retail store sites in Karnataka
- Reports To: Managing Director

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Financial Leadership

- Drive the corporate financial strategy to maximize group profitability and business growth.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range capital allocation planning.
- Evaluate expansion opportunities, mergers, acquisitions (M&A;) and major capital expenditures.
- Provide actionable financial insights to the board for data-driven decision-making.

2. Manufacturing & Plant Controlling

- Oversee product costing, inventory valuation and variance analysis at food manufacturing factory
- Optimize supply chain costs, procurement spend and raw material tracking.
- Monitor plant-level KPIs and drive operational and manufacturing efficiency.

3. Corporate Finance, Treasury & Governance

- Manage corporate liquidity, fund allocation, cash flow and complex working capital requirements.
- Maintain and leverage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and external auditors for raising corporate funds.
- Ensure full compliance with GST, Direct Taxes and Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
- Oversee and ensure timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.

Team Leadership, SOP & ERP

- Mentor and lead a large finance team distributed across the corporate office, plant levels and multiple retail stores in Karnataka.
- Establish strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all business units for tight financial control.
- Manage advanced ERP system implemented across the group.

Key RequirementsEducation & Experience

- Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory.
- Overall Experience: Minimum 25 to 30 years in corporate and plant finance.
- Leadership Experience: Must have performed in a CFO role for at least 5 years in a reputed manufacturing and retail company.
- Industry Background: Dual experience in both Retail and Manufacturing sectors is preferred
- Geographic Focus: Deep familiarity with Karnataka industrial regulations, local compliances, and state laws.

Skills & Language Competencies

- Robust leadership capabilities to control a large, distributed workforce across corporate and branch/site teams.
- Deep expertise in treasury, factory cost accounting, and ERP systems.
- Language Mandate: Fluency in English and Kannada is mandatory (to manage local compliances, plant teams and store operations). Knowledge of Hindi is a distinct plus.
- Notice Period: Immediate joiners or those on short notice preferred.
