Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented GIS Analyst with 1–3 years of experience in spatial data management, GIS mapping, geospatial analysis, and map preparation. The candidate should have hands-on experience with ArcGIS and QGIS (mandatory) and the ability to collect, process, analyse, and visualise spatial data to support urban planning, field surveys, infrastructure mapping, and evidence-based decision-making.

Required Skills and Competencies

- GIS Software and Spatial Data Management: Hands-on proficiency in ArcGIS Pro/ArcMap and QGIS for mapping, spatial analysis, and data management, with working knowledge of Shapefile, KML/KMZ, GeoPackage, geodatabases, CSV, and Excel-based spatial data.

- Coordinate Systems and Georeferencing: Understanding of coordinate reference systems (CRS), map projections, georeferencing, coordinate transformation, and spatial data accuracy.

- GPS, Field Survey and Data Validation: Familiarity with GPS-enabled data collection, mobile survey applications, field data verification, and attribute data validation using Microsoft Excel.

- Cartography and Map Preparation: Ability to prepare accurate and professional maps using appropriate symbology, labels, legends, scale bars, and map layouts.

CAD Integration: Familiarity with Google Earth Pro, GPS-based survey tools, and mobile GIS applications, along with AutoCAD drawings, CAD-to-GIS conversion, public-space inventories, and location-based spatial analysis.

- Spatial Analysis and Urban GIS Applications: Understanding of vector and raster data processing, spatial queries, overlay analysis, proximity analysis, land-use mapping, infrastructure inventories, public-space mapping, commercial activity mapping, and accessibility analysis.

- Communication and Documentation: Valuable written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, report preparation, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Experience Requirements

- 1–3 years of relevant professional experience in GIS mapping, spatial data processing, and geospatial analysis.

- Demonstrated practical experience in both ArcGIS and QGIS.

- Ability to work in team & independently to prepare GIS maps, maintain spatial databases, and deliver accurate GIS outputs within specified timelines.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
