We are currently hiring for General Manager (R&D;) at KP Group for Matar, Gujarat (near Vadodara) location.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced R&D; leader to drive product strategy, architecture, development and deployment of BESS-related technologies. The role will lead multidisciplinary teams across Energy Management Systems (EMS), embedded hardware/firmware, industrial controls, cloud software, IoT and AI/analytics, ensuring reliable, scalable and commercially deployable products.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead R&D; strategy, technology roadmap, product architecture and current product development.
- Drive design and development of BESS Energy Management Systems (EMS), embedded controllers, firmware and control software.
- Oversee industrial IoT, edge computing,



cloud platforms, APIs, dashboards and data analytics.
- Lead system integration with PLCs, SCADA, industrial equipment and customer systems.
- Establish engineering processes for product quality, testing, validation, release management and lifecycle support.
- Ensure cybersecurity, reliability, technical risk management and applicable regulatory compliance.
- Build and lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across embedded, software, cloud, controls, QA and AI/ML.
- Collaborate with Product, Sales, Operations, Manufacturing and customers to deliver products aligned with business objectives.
- Manage engineering resources, budgets, external partners and product delivery commitments.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
- Typically 12+ years of experience in engineering, R&D; or product development, including significant leadership responsibility.
- Proven track record of leading R&D; teams and delivering complex products from concept through development, validation and deployment.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems, firmware, system architecture, industrial software and product engineering.
- Experience with technology roadmaps, engineering governance, quality processes, team building and cross-functional execution.

Preferred Experience
- BESS, EMS, battery management, power systems, microgrids or renewable energy.
- Embedded controllers, firmware, industrial automation, PLC/SCADA and industrial communication protocols.
- Cloud platforms, IoT, APIs, data analytics, AI/ML and predictive maintenance.
- MES, smart manufacturing or industrial software platforms.
