Specific Tasks & Duties

Structural Fabrication• Read and interpret structural drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.

- Mark, cut, bend, and shape heavy steel plates, bulb profiles, and angles to match the ship's hull form.
- Tack-weld structural assemblies securely before structural welders perform final passes.

Mechanical & System Alignment• Position and align major onboard machinery including main engines, propulsion shafts, auxiliary pumps, and steering gear.

- Install and secure heavy machinery foundations, ensuring exact parallel and perpendicular alignments using optical tools or dial indicators.

Piping & Outfitting• Prefabricate and fit marine piping systems including fuel oil, ballast water, seawater cooling, and hydraulic lines.

- Fit and secure critical outfitting items like watertight doors, manhole hatches, scuppers, and mooring equipment.

Repair & Maintenance• Crop out and replace corroded or damaged hull plates and internal framing structural members during dry-dock periods.

- Recondition damaged sea valves, rudder assemblies, and propeller shafts.

Pay: ₹15,200.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
