Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Data Engineer with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in building and managing data solutions using Microsoft Azure, SQL, and Power BI, primarily within the Finance domain.

The role involves developing scalable data solutions, creating high-quality Power BI dashboards, mentoring a junior Power BI developer, and continuously exploring new technologies and best practices.

The candidate will work closely with colleagues across VTBA and the broader Atlas Copco Group.

Must-Have Skills

- Robust proficiency in Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Blob Storage
- Strong experience with SQL Server and complex SQL queries
- Hands-on experience with Power BI - DAX, Data Modelling, and Dashboard Development
- Experience mentoring and supervising junior team members
- Familiarity with Git/version control
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory and related Azure services.
- Write optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for various business units.
- Mentor and supervise a Junior Power BI Developer, ensuring adherence to best practices and timely delivery.
- Monitor data quality, integrity, and performance across data systems.
- Implement data governance and security protocols in accordance with organizational standards.
- Follow organizational policies related to quality, safety, security, and environmental standards.
- Maintain workplace and equipment according to 5S principles.
- Continuously enhance technical knowledge and stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices.
