Job Summary The PayPal Global Billing and Payments department is seeking a Finance Business Support Analyst to support their PayPal and its adjacencies finance and other funds out operations. The team s daily execution ensures the continued success supporting PayPal and its adjacencies partners, merchants, and product performance. The role is a key partner enabler with funding, O2C, accounting, reporting, and process improvement.

Primary functions include (1) provide guidance and support with frontline escalations (2) execute daily operations within timely SLAs (3) identify cost savings initiatives while collaborating with data and automation teams to build long term scalability (4) project manage short sprint projects, and (5) lower business-related risk by identifying mitigating controls both operationally and financially.

Essential Responsibilities

- Responsible for timely and effective reconciliation of all assigned General Ledger accounts
- Ensure accurate clearing of reconciling items in accordance with Company Policy
- Ensure accurate posting of general ledger entries in SAP and customer accounts
- Involved in research, track, and timely resolve outstanding reconciling items and related issues
- Apply advanced research techniques to accurately identify the source of reconciling items
- Participate in month-end close activities
- Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities in reporting, reconciliation, and analysis
- Communicate with internal resources and/or processors to escalate and resolve differences
- Drive technology adoption and changes to improve efficiency

- Assist with escalated cases

Minimum Qualifications





- 1+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Support cross functional teams with PayPal and its adjacencies payment processing and funds receivables
- Support recurring data gathering and metrics reporting
- Comfortable with basic accounting and JE entry postings

Qualifications

- BA/BS degree, MBA preferred
- Experience with policy or contract review
- Experience with inbox and ticketing management support (Salesforce or JIRA)
- Experience around process improvement with example of cost savings projects
- Experience working with cross functional and international teams
- Significant skills/experience in MS Excel, analytics, and process management
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills, time management
- Demonstrates strong operating procedures (SOP) and requirement document (BRD) building, including robust understand around product requirement, data structure, and merchant record (MOR) data management
- Knowledge on Braintree products preferred

- Accounting/Banking background a plus
- Experience with SAP ECC and S4 Hana a plus
- Experience with SQL a plus
