Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Restaurant Captain to supervise restaurant service operations and ensure an excellent dining experience for guests. The Captain will lead the service team, coordinate with the kitchen, handle guest requirements and complaints, and ensure that restaurant standards are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

- Welcome and attend to guests in a warm, qualified manner.

- Take food and beverage orders accurately and provide recommendations when required.

- Have good knowledge of multi-cuisine menus, ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens.

- Ensure timely and accurate service of food and beverages.

- Coordinate closely with the kitchen, bar, stewarding, and service teams.

- Allocate tables and sections to service staff and monitor their performance.

- Brief the team before each shift regarding reservations, special events, menu changes, and VIP guests.

- Monitor table setup, cleanliness, presentation, and overall restaurant ambience.

- Ensure compliance with restaurant SOPs, hygiene standards, and food-safety practices.

- Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly.

- Check guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.

- Coordinate special requests, celebrations, dietary requirements, and other guest preferences.

- Assist the Restaurant Manager with daily opening and closing procedures.

- Monitor inventory of service items such as cutlery, crockery, glassware, napkins,



and condiments.

- Ensure proper billing procedures and assist with payment-related queries.

- Train and guide junior service staff on service standards and restaurant procedures.

- Maintain professional grooming and personal hygiene standards.

- Support the management team in achieving sales, guest satisfaction, and operational targets.

Required Skills &

- Qualifications:

- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in restaurant/hotel food & beverage service
- Captain-level experience preferred.

- Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality is preferred.

- Strong knowledge of restaurant service procedures and multi-cuisine operations.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to lead and motivate a team.

- Good knowledge of food, beverages, menu presentation, and table service.

- Strong customer-service and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

- Basic knowledge of POS systems and billing procedures.

- Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, and on public holidays.
