Job Summary

We are looking for a creative, skilled, and detail-oriented Fashion Designer to join our boutique. The candidate will be responsible for designing customised outfits, understanding client requirements, selecting fabrics, creating sketches, coordinating with tailors, and ensuring high-quality garment finishing. The ideal candidate should have a solid sense of fashion trends, colour combinations, styling, and garment construction.

Key Responsibilities

- Design customised ethnic, western, and contemporary outfits according to customer preferences.

- Create fashion sketches, design concepts, and garment patterns.

- Understand client requirements regarding styles, fabrics, colours, fittings, and budgets.

- Design bridal wear, party wear, casual wear, traditional outfits, and designer collections.

- Assist customers with fabric selection, embroidery designs, embellishments, and styling.

- Take accurate body measurements and coordinate fittings and alterations.

- Coordinate with tailors, pattern makers, embroidery workers, and production staff.

- Supervise garment stitching, finishing, and quality control.

- Ensure timely completion and delivery of customised outfits.

- Stay updated with the latest fashion trends, seasonal collections, and market preferences.

- Develop new designs and collections to attract customers.

- Maintain records of customer orders, measurements, designs, and delivery schedules.

- Monitor fabric availability, accessories, and design materials.

- Handle customer feedback and ensure satisfaction with final garments.

- Maintain boutique presentation and support visual merchandising activities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Diploma or degree in Fashion Designing,



Textile Designing, or a related field.

- 1–3 years of experience in fashion designing, boutique operations, or garment designing.

- Strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, patterns, and stitching techniques.

- Ability to create fashion sketches and customised clothing designs.

- Knowledge of ethnic wear, western wear, bridal wear, and contemporary fashion.

- Understanding of body measurements, garment fitting, and alterations.

- Good communication, creativity, and customer-handling skills.

- Knowledge of fashion design software such as CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, or CAD is an advantage.

- Strong attention to detail and time-management abilities.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience working in a designer boutique, fashion studio, or clothing brand.

- Expertise in designing saree blouses, lehengas, gowns, kurtis, dresses, and customised outfits.

- Knowledge of embroidery, handwork, fabric combinations, and garment finishing.

- Ability to understand customer expectations and suggest suitable designs.

- Creative, organised, and capable of handling multiple customer orders.

- Strong coordination skills with tailoring and production teams.
