Position Overview

Utkal Innovatives is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Heavy Equipment Fabricator / Fitter at our Jharsuguda manufacturing unit. The candidate will be responsible for structural layout, cutting, tacking, fit-up, and welding of heavy-duty coal processing and bulk handling equipment, specifically belt/chain conveyors, double-roll/ring granulator crushers, vibrating screens, and apron/reciprocating feeders.

Key Responsibilities

- Blueprint & Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret complex engineering fabrication drawings, general arrangement (GA) drawings, and welding symbols to plan layout and material sequences.
- Layout & Fit-up:
- Perform layout, marking, shearing, and drilling on heavy structural steel (ISMB, ISMC, angles) and high-tensile plates (IS 2062, Sailhard, Hardox).
- Fabricate conveyor head, tail, and take-up frames,



idler brackets, stringers, and cross-members.
- Fit up robust crusher bodies, rotor assemblies, base frames, breaker plates, and bearing housing mounts to tight dimensional tolerances.
- Fabricate heavy feeder pans, side skirts, hopper chutes, and liner plate bolt-hole layouts.
