Job Summary

DTDC is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Operations Executive Gateway Middle Mile to manage daily hub connectivity, linehaul dispatch operations, and real-time tracking across our Middle Mile logistics network. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in Advanced Excel for data reconciliation, manifest management, and hub performance tracking, alongside operational floor coordination across rotational shifts.

Key Responsibilities

1. Gateway & Linehaul Operations

- Manage arrival, sorting, bagging, consolidation, and dispatch activities for outbound/inbound linehaul movements.
- Ensure timely connections of vehicles (trucks/air freight) adhering to strict cut-off schedules and SLA commitments.
- Coordinate with linehaul drivers, vendors, and route planners to resolve transit delays, route diversions, or space constraints.
- Oversee loading/unloading compliance to prevent cargo loss, damage, or miss-routing (misruns).

2. Data Management & Excel Reporting

- Perform daily reconciliation of physical inventory versus system scans using MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Data Validation, SumIfs).
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational KPI dashboards (e.g., Load Factor, On-Time Dispatch/Arrival, In-Transit SLA, Gateway Dwell Time).
- Track and flag aging cargo, pending manifests, and pending connections using data models and spreadsheets.
- Generate and audit Inbound/Outbound Manifests, Vehicle Movement Sheets, and Delivery Run Sheets (DRS).

3. Shift & Floor Execution

- Work seamlessly in 24/7 rotational shifts (Day, Evening, and Night shifts)



to support continuous gateway operations.
- Supervise floor loaders, sorters, and scanning staff during assigned shift windows to achieve optimal productivity.
- Conduct shift handover meetings and log detailed shift handoff reports to maintain operational continuity.

4. Quality & Compliance

- Monitor physical scan compliance (Inbound Scan, Outbound Scan, Bagging Scan) to minimize unmanifested shipments.
- Report operational anomalies, seal discrepancies, weight differences, or damaged packages immediately.
- Participate in periodic physical stock audits within the gateway facility.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

- Education: Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in Hub, Gateway, First/Middle Mile logistics, or express courier operations (prior experience in express logistics like DTDC, Delhivery, Blue Dart, or Ekart is a plus).

- Advanced Excel Proficiency (Essential):
- Expertise in Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, Data Formatting, and conditional formulas.
- Experience handling large datasets (thousands of tracking numbers/AWBs daily).
- Shift Flexibility: Must be comfortable working in a 24/7 operational setting with rotational shifts (including overnight shifts).
- Problem-Solving Skills: Quick decision-making skills to manage linehaul bottlenecks and transit escalations on the spot.
