Phase Critical Supervisory & Technical Checks

1. Layout & Marking Ensure the installation crew benchmarks off the official 1-meter floor reference point.

- Verify that trays are placed below water pipes, drainage lines, or HVAC units only if specified protection or clearances are maintained.

2. Support Fixing Inspect the installation of anchor fasteners, threaded rods, and cantilever arms.

- Enforce maximum support spacing requirements based on tray type (typically max 3m for cable ladders and 2m for perforated trays).

3. Tray Cutting & Assembly Ensure the crew uses zinc-rich cold-galvanizing paint immediately on all field cuts and drill holes to prevent rust.





- Enforce the use of factory-made bends and fittings; strictly eliminate site-fabricated sharp turns that could tear cable insulation.
- Double-check that mushroom-head screws are oriented correctly with the smooth head inside the tray channel.

4. Structural Transitions Mandate expansion splice joints wherever the tray crosses a building structural expansion gap.

- Verify that openings through fire-rated walls are properly sleeve-fitted and packed with approved fire-stop sealants.

5. Electrical Grounding Verify structural grounding continuity by inspecting copper bonding jumpers across every single tray connection.

- Check that the tray system connects directly to the main earthing network at mandated intervals.
