This role is with a well-established MEP/EPC contracting organisation headquartered in Gurgaon, delivering mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire-protection and building-automation systems across commercial, industrial, healthcare, data-centre and infrastructure projects. The search is being managed by Cusec Consulting, a management and talent-advisory firm partnering with leading real-estate, infrastructure and MEP/EPC organisations.

We are seeking an Electrical Draftsman to prepare accurate electrical shop drawings, coordinated layouts, installation details and as-built drawings from approved design drawings, in close coordination with Design Engineers, BIM Coordinators and site teams.

Role overview

Reporting to the Electrical Design Engineer / BIM Coordinator, the Electrical Draftsman prepares electrical shop drawings from approved IFC and design drawings — HT/LT power distribution, lighting and small-power, cable-tray and trunking, conduit routing, bus-duct, earthing and lightning protection, transformer/DG and UPS/battery-room layouts, fire-alarm, emergency lighting and ELV services — together with SLDs, schematics, panel schedules, sections, elevations and cable-routing details, with disciplined revision and document control.

Key responsibilities

1. Shop drawings. Prepare electrical shop drawings from approved IFC and design drawings.
2. Layouts. Develop layouts for HT/LT power distribution, lighting, small-power, cable-tray & trunking, conduit routing, bus-duct, earthing & lightning protection, transformer/DG rooms, UPS/battery rooms, fire-alarm, emergency lighting and ELV services (CCTV, access control, PA, data & telephone).
3. Diagrams & schedules. Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs),



schematic diagrams and panel schedules.
4. Coordination. Coordinate electrical drawings with HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, ELV, Civil, Structural and Architectural disciplines; prepare builder’s-work, sleeve and opening details.
5. Details. Generate sections, elevations, installation details and cable-routing details.
6. Document control. Update drawings based on consultant/client comments and maintain drawing revisions and document control.

Required qualifications and skills
- Diploma/ITI in Electrical Engineering, Draftsmanship or a related discipline.
- 2–6 years’ experience preparing electrical shop drawings for MEP projects.
- AutoCAD certification is mandatory; Revit MEP certification is preferred.
- Ability to read IFC / design drawings and develop coordinated shop drawings.
- SLDs, panel schedules, cable-tray/conduit and ELV layouts.
- Discipline coordination and drawing revision / document control.

Preferred (good to have)
- Experience across commercial, healthcare, data-centre or semiconductor projects.
- BIM coordination and clash-detection exposure.
- Exposure to ELV-services drafting.
