Roles & Responsibilities

Ensure the implementation of EHS policies, safety procedures, and project-specific safety requirements.

Conduct site inspections and identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.

Monitor safety during underground cable trenching, excavation, cable laying, jointing, and cable pulling activities.

Ensure proper barricading, warning signage, and safe access around excavation and trenching areas.

Conduct Toolbox Talks (TBT), safety inductions, and job-specific safety briefings.

Ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all workers.

Monitor compliance with Permit to Work (PTW), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Risk Assessment requirements.

Ensure the availability and protected use of tools, equipment, and emergency arrangements.

Prepare and maintain daily safety reports, inspection checklists, and incident/near-miss reports.

Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, and contractors to ensure compliance with safety standards.
