Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Duty Manager role based at a Taj Hotels property in Hyderabad.

The Duty

Manager oversees daily hotel operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth coordination between front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and other departments.

Responsibilities include monitoring guest arrivals and departures, resolving guest queries and service issues promptly, and ensuring that brand standards of luxury and hospitality are consistently maintained. The role involves supervising shift teams, managing escalations, overseeing lobby and public area presentation, and ensuring safety, security, and compliance with hotel policies.

The Duty

Manager also supports revenue and occupancy goals by coordinating with sales and reservations, handling VIP and long-stay guests, and preparing shift reports and handovers for senior management.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong guest service and frontline hospitality skills, including customer relationship management, conflict resolution, and a consistently professional demeanor.
- Candidates should possess solid operational management skills, such as team supervision,



shift coordination, problem-solving, and attention to detail in daily hotel running.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, including explicit verbal and written communication, active listening, and the ability to work with diverse teams and guests.
- Candidates should possess organizational and administrative skills, including report writing, basic computer proficiency (PMS/CRM systems), and efficient handling of documentation and audits.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of standard hotel procedures, safety and security practices, and basic financial acumen related to revenue, occupancy, and cost control.
- Relevant hotel management or hospitality education (diploma or degree) and prior experience in front office or operations supervision in an upscale or luxury hotel environment are highly beneficial.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and maintain composure in high-pressure or peak-demand situations.
