Job Overview

DroneBuddy Aerospace is looking for a skilled and experienced Drone Pilot cum DGPS Operator to join our growing team. The candidate will be responsible for executing UAV-based surveying, mapping, infrastructure inspection, and data acquisition projects across India, along with DGPS/GNSS field surveys and ground control point (GCP) data collection.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience in professional drone operations, DGPS equipment handling, survey data collection, and fieldwork for infrastructure, highway, mining, or other geospatial projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drone Operations

- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections of UAVs, batteries, sensors, and payloads.
- Plan and execute drone missions for surveying, mapping, highway videography, infrastructure inspection, and aerial data acquisition.
- Operate enterprise drones equipped with RGB, thermal, and other survey payloads as per project requirements.
- Monitor flight parameters, troubleshoot operational issues, and ensure safe mission execution.
- Maintain flight logs, mission reports, equipment records, and project documentation.

1. DGPS / GNSS Survey Operations

- Operate DGPS/GNSS survey equipment for ground surveys and geospatial data collection.
- Perform GCP (Ground Control Point) and checkpoint marking, coordinate collection, and field verification.
- Conduct RTK, PPK, and static observations as per project specifications.
- Establish survey control points and collect coordinates of ground features, structures,



and other required locations.
- Assist in baseline processing, coordinate validation, and survey data preparation.
- Work with suitable coordinate reference systems, projections, and datums as specified by the project.
- Maintain DGPS observation logs, field notes, survey records, and equipment documentation.

1. Field Survey & Project Execution

- Coordinate with project managers, survey teams, and data processing teams to meet project requirements.
- Understand survey layouts, flight plans, GCP layouts, technical specifications, and project deliverables.
- Execute field assignments for highways, roads, transmission lines, solar projects, mining, and other infrastructure developments.
- Ensure accurate data collection, quality checks, and timely submission of field data.
- Travel extensively across India and work in challenging field conditions whenever required.

1. Equipment Maintenance & Safety

- Ensure proper handling, calibration, and maintenance of drones and DGPS equipment.
- Perform basic troubleshooting, firmware updates, and routine equipment checks.
- Follow DGCA regulations, applicable airspace requirements, approved operating procedures, and company safety protocols.
- Assist in preparing and improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for drone and survey operations.





Required Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or undergraduate qualification in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Geospatial Technology, or a relevant field preferred.
- 1–3+ years of practical experience in professional drone operations and/or DGPS/GNSS surveying.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise drones and mission planning software.
- Practical knowledge of DGPS/GNSS equipment, RTK/PPK workflows, and GCP collection.
- Understanding of coordinate systems, survey accuracy, field observations, and basic survey data processing.
- Ability to read flight plans, survey layouts, and project specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to field safety.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a survey team.
- Willingness to travel pan-India for extended project assignments.

Preferred Skills
- DGCA-authorised Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC), where applicable to the UAV category and operation.
- Experience with Emlid, E-Survey, or other qualified DGPS/GNSS equipment.
- Familiarity with Agisoft Metashape, DJI Terra, Pix4D, QGIS, AutoCAD, or similar geospatial software.
- Experience in highway surveys, infrastructure monitoring, mining, transmission lines, or government projects.
- Knowledge of RTK/PPK processing, static observations, and CORS-based workflows.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
