Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Draftsman to join our Design & Engineering team. The candidate will assist in preparing and modifying engineering drawings for manufacturing machinery and equipment, including components, assemblies, and fabrication parts.

The role is suitable for freshers who have basic knowledge of mechanical drawings, an understanding of engineering concepts, and a willingness to learn CAD software and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare 2D engineering drawings and basic 3D models of mechanical components and assemblies under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Assist in preparing fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and component drawings for manufacturing.
- Make revisions and updates to existing drawings as per instructions from the Design Engineer.
- Maintain proper drawing files, revision records, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with Production, Fabrication, Stores, and Quality teams to understand drawing requirements.
- Ensure drawings include appropriate dimensions, tolerances, material specifications, and other necessary details as instructed.
- Support the design team in preparing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and related technical documents.




- Understand manufacturing requirements and ensure drawings are practical for fabrication and assembly.
- Follow company drawing standards, engineering practices, and document control procedures.
- Learn and apply CAD software skills to improve drawing accuracy and efficiency.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering drawings and drafting principles.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD; knowledge of SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software will be an advantage.
- Ability to understand dimensions, projections, sections, and assembly drawings.
- Basic understanding of engineering materials and manufacturing processes.
- Positive attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Basic computer skills and file management.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.

Eligibility Criteria

- Freshers with a Diploma, ITI, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical discipline may apply.
- Candidates with basic AutoCAD knowledge are preferred.
- Candidates willing to learn mechanical design, fabrication drawings, and manufacturing processes are encouraged to apply.
