About the job Director - Investments

Our partner, a mission-driven organisation in India, is hiring a senior investment qualified to lead its investment and portfolio management function.

This is a leadership role reporting to the CEO, with the opportunity to shape investment decisions, strengthen portfolio management, and contribute to the organisation's broader strategy.

Who you are

- Experience: 14 years in investing, ideally with exposure to early-stage businesses. Experience in impact investing is an advantage.
- Deal expertise: Hands-on experience managing transactions from due diligence to closure, including valuation, term sheets, and negotiations. Strong financial modelling and Excel skills.
- Portfolio management: Experience overseeing investments beyond deployment, including portfolio monitoring, follow-on capital mobilisation across multiple funding instruments, and exits.
- Leadership: Ability to lead and coach an investment team, challenge assumptions constructively, and drive sound investment decisions.
- Investor and operator mindset: Comfortable working closely with founders and travelling as required.

An MBA or postgraduate qualification in finance is preferred. A CA or CS qualification is a strong plus.
