Director - Accounting – US GAAP | Bangalore

We are hiring a seasoned Director Accounting for a client, a leading US-based non-bank financial services organization specializing in mortgage servicing and lending.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead financial statement preparation, accounting, reporting, and monthly closing activities.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on US GAAP, financial instruments, and accounting policies.
- Oversee general ledger scrutiny, accruals, account reconciliations, and management reporting.
- Ensure compliance with SOX internal controls and statutory reporting requirements.
- Drive process improvements, automation, cost optimization, and close-cycle efficiencies.
- Partner with senior leadership, business stakeholders,



and internal and statutory auditors.
- Lead accounting teams and support cross-functional finance initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

- CA / CPA is mandatory.
- 15+ years of experience in accounting, controllership, and financial reporting.
- Solid expertise in US GAAP, general ledger, accruals, and financial controls.
- Significant exposure to mortgage lending and servicing businesses.
- Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and people management skills.
