We are looking for an experienced Design & Estimation Engineer with hands-on experience in pharmaceutical projects, equipment design, and cost estimation. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing systems, engineering drawings, equipment specifications, and techno-commercial proposals.

The candidate will be responsible for preparing engineering designs, evaluating equipment requirements, estimating project costs, and ensuring compliance with applicable pharmaceutical industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering designs for pharmaceutical plants, including API and formulation facilities.
- Develop plant layouts, P&IDs;, equipment layouts, and utility distribution drawings.
- Work with pharmaceutical equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, reactors, CIP/SIP systems, filtration systems, fermenters, and bioreactors.
- Prepare equipment specifications, technical datasheets, and equipment sizing calculations.
- Evaluate vendor quotations and conduct technical and commercial comparisons.
- Prepare cost estimates, quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and techno-commercial proposals.




- Ensure compliance with applicable GMP, FDA, WHO, and validation requirements.
- Support documentation for Design Qualification (DQ), Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ).
- Coordinate with project, procurement, vendor, and engineering teams to ensure timely project execution.
- Maintain technical documentation and support audits and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3–8 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical design, estimation, or project engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Pharmaceutical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical equipment and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in equipment sizing, selection, layout planning, and engineering design.
- Familiarity with GMP guidelines and applicable FDA and WHO requirements.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation tools.
- Ability to prepare technical specifications, BOQs, cost estimates, and commercial proposals.
- Solid analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
