Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed engineering designs for rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV projects.

- Develop solar module layouts, string layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and electrical layouts.

- Prepare AC/DC cable routing, cable sizing, earthing, lightning protection, and inverter layouts.

- Perform shadow analysis, generation estimation, and solar plant capacity calculations.

- Prepare BOQs, material specifications, and technical drawings for project execution.

- Work on AutoCAD and solar design software such as PVsyst and SketchUp.

- Coordinate with the EPC, electrical, procurement, and project execution teams.

- Review site survey reports and incorporate site conditions into project designs.

- Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.

- Assist the project team in resolving design-related issues during installation and commissioning.

Required Skills

- Proficiency in AutoCAD.

- Working knowledge of PVsyst and SketchUp.





- Knowledge of solar PV system design and electrical engineering.

- Understanding of SLDs, string sizing, cable sizing, earthing, and protection systems.

- Ability to prepare BOQs and technical documentation.

- Knowledge of rooftop and ground-mounted solar EPC projects.

- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in commercial, industrial, or utility-scale solar projects.

- Knowledge of solar plant layouts, inverter selection, and DC/AC system design.

- Familiarity with applicable DISCOM requirements and electrical standards.

- Minimum 2 year Experience preparing drawings and documentation for Solar projects for Govt and PSU's approvals.

- Understanding of Applicable IEC/ IS codes for Solar and electrical equipment designs and Power evacuation
