Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Design Engineer – Powder & Liquid Lines role based in Chennai..

The Design

Engineer will be responsible for designing and engineering powder and liquid coating lines, including layout development, equipment selection, and integration of mechanical and electrical systems. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating CAD models and drawings, preparing technical documents and specifications, and collaborating with sales and project teams to translate client requirements into practical design solutions. The role involves evaluating process flows, optimizing line performance, coordinating with vendors and production teams, and supporting installation and commissioning activities.

The Design

Engineer will also assist in troubleshooting design issues,



ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and contributing to continuous improvement of products and systems.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering, with experience in industrial equipment or coating lines.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and Product Design, including layout development and detailed engineering drawings.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Electrical Engineering concepts relevant to equipment integration and line design.
- Ability to analyze process requirements, calculate capacities, and optimize powder and liquid coating line configurations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; relevant industry experience in surface finishing or industrial automation is an advantage.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with sales, projects, and operations teams.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and familiarity with safety, quality, and industry standards in manufacturing environments.
- Willingness to work in office and travel to customer locations or project sites in India and Overseas as needed.
