Role Description The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure supporting Plexitech’s operational intelligence and analytics platforms. This full-time, on-site role is based in Thane and involves collaborating with software engineers, data analysts, and product teams to ensure data is reliable, scalable, and accessible for business use.

Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing ETL processes, modeling data for analytics and reporting, optimizing data storage and retrieval, and ensuring data quality and integrity across multiple sources.





The Data

Engineer will work with large, complex datasets from IoT devices, industrial systems, and enterprise applications, and will contribute to performance tuning, documentation, and continuous improvement of the data ecosystem. The role also involves supporting deployments, troubleshooting data-related issues, and adhering to security and compliance standards.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Data Engineering and Data Warehousing for building and maintaining scalable data platforms.
- Candidates should possess solid experience in Data Modeling and Data Analytics to support reporting, dashboards, and advanced insights.
- Candidates should possess practical expertise in Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes for integrating data from diverse systems and sources.
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (such as Python or Scala).
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, and familiarity with modern data platforms or cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is beneficial.
- Understanding of data pipeline orchestration tools, version control, and best practices for data quality, governance, and security.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
