Job Summary

This role is responsible for end-to-end inventory accounting, valuation, and cost management , including maintenance of statutory cost records and coordination of cost audit . The position ensures accurate cost capture across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods, leveraging SAP S/4HANA (MM, FI, CO modules) , while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and solid internal financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory Accounting & Control (Plant + SAP Driven)

- Account for all inventory transactions: RM, WIP, FG, consumables, stores & spares, scrap
- Monitor material movements: GRN, issues, transfers, subcontracting
- Perform periodic physical stock verification and reconcile with SAP stock
- Investigate and report stock variances, shrinkage, and process losses
- Ensure proper cut-off procedures during month-end and year-end
- Manage inventory accounting for Raw Materials,



WIP, Finished Goods, Consumables, Stores & Spares, and Scrap.
- Perform inventory valuation, standard costing, product costing, and variance analysis.
- Execute inventory reconciliations, stock verification, and month-end/year-end closing activities.
- Maintain statutory cost records and support cost audits as per Companies Act and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
- Ensure SAP S/4HANA MM, FI, and CO integration for inventory accounting, Material Ledger, and costing processes.
- Monitor inventory aging, obsolete stock, cost reduction opportunities, and profitability analysis.
- Strengthen internal controls, audit compliance, and governance over inventory and costing processes.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong expertise in inventory accounting and cost accounting
- Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA (MM + FI + CO integration)
- Knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and cost audit
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to work in plant and cross-functional environment

Qualifications & Experience

- Education: B.Com / M.Com / CMA (Inter / Final preferred)/CA (Inter / Final preferred)
- Experience: 4–9 years in manufacturing (plant costing / inventory role)
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA environment is mandatory
