Commissioning Editor – Law Journals (National and International)

STM Journals, an imprint of Consortium eLearning Network Pvt. Ltd., is hiring a proactive Commissioning Editor to manage law journals, acquire quality legal research and coordinate the publication workflow.

Job Details

- Department: Editorial and Journal Publishing
- Location: Sector 63, Noida (Work from Office)
- Employment Type: Full time
- Experience: 1–4 years
- Salary: ₹18,000–₹35,000 per month (subject to interview performance)

Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned law journals and maintain a steady manuscript pipeline.
- Identify and commission articles from law professors, advocates, judges and researchers in India and overseas.
- Invite and onboard Editors-in-Chief, editorial board members and peer reviewers.
- Screen manuscripts for scope, originality, citation style (OSCOLA, Bluebook) and ethics.
- Coordinate peer review, author revisions, acceptance and final publication.
- Follow plagiarism, copyright and publication-ethics standards; escalate misconduct.
- Maintain author and reviewer databases using Google Scholar, SSRN, SCC Online, Manupatra, HeinOnline, Westlaw and LexisNexis.




- Prepare regular reports and meet acquisition and publication targets.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- LL.M. or Master’s in Law (Ph.D. in Law preferred).
- Strong legal research and legal writing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English.
- Knowledge of legal citation styles and manuscript-tracking tools.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and email.
- Good communication, follow-up and deadline management.

Preferred Profile
- Experience in law journal or academic publishing, reviewer onboarding and editorial-board development.
- Immediate joiners or notice period up to 15 days.
