Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Commercial Engineer to join our Quotation and Sales Support team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and submitting competitive techno-commercial proposals and quotations. You will work closely with sales, technical estimation, and procurement teams to evaluate customer RFQs, understand specifications, and ensure accurate, competitive pricing.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

- Quotation & Offer Preparation: Evaluate customer Request for Quotations (RFQs), Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) to prepare precise techno-commercial offers and quotations.
- Cost & Pricing Analysis: Analyze pricing strategies, material cost estimates, busbar/component costing, and market trends to maintain competitive positioning while preserving profit margins.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with sales, engineering, and procurement teams to clarify customer requirements, technical specifications, and vendor bought-out pricing.
- Contract & Commercial Review: Assist in reviewing commercial terms, tender conditions, payment terms, and agreements before proposal submission.
- Data Management & Tracking: Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs of submitted proposals, hit rates, vendor quotes,



and pricing historical data in standard formats/software.
- Client & Query Support: Provide support in resolving commercial queries raised by clients during proposal evaluation stages.

Key Qualifications & Skills

- Education: Diploma in Electrical Engineering, B.Sc., B.Com, or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / related field.
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a commercial engineering, estimation, or quotation department (preferably within electrical panels, switchgears, or power distribution industries).
- Technical & Commercial Acumen: Good understanding of commercial terms, basic electrical equipment costing, and BOQ analysis.
- Software Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with MS Office (especially MS Excel for costing models) and quotation/ERP software.
- Analytical Skills: Strong numerical capability, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Communication: Good written and verbal communication abilities for internal and external coordination.
