Designation: Collection Manager

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Collection Target Achievement: Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly collection targets and ensure timely recovery of outstanding loan payments and EMIs.
2. Team Management: Manage, guide, and supervise Collection Executives and Field Collection Officers to achieve collection targets.
3. Overdue Account Management: Monitor overdue loans, delinquent accounts, and non-performing accounts, and develop effective recovery strategies.
4. Customer Follow-up: Ensure timely follow-ups with customers through calls, messages, and field visits for pending payments.
5. Field Collection Monitoring: Monitor field collection activities, customer visits, and the performance of field collection teams.
6. Collection Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to improve recovery rates, reduce overdue accounts, and minimize collection losses.
7. MIS and Reporting: Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly collection reports, overdue reports, recovery reports, and team performance reports.
8. Customer Relationship Management: Handle customer queries, payment disputes, and repayment-related issues professionally.
9. Performance Monitoring: Track team productivity, collection efficiency,



recovery percentages, and individual target achievement.
10. Compliance and Ethical Recovery: Ensure all collection activities comply with applicable RBI guidelines, company policies, and fair recovery practices.
11. Interdepartmental Coordination: Coordinate with the Sales, Credit, Risk, Finance, and Operations teams to resolve collection-related issues.
12. Training and Development: Train collection team members in customer communication, negotiation, payment follow-ups, and recovery procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline; an MBA in Finance or a related field is preferred.
- 2–7 years of experience in collections or debt recovery, preferably in an NBFC, fintech company, or banking sector.
- Experience in managing field collection teams and tele-calling operations.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of loan collection processes, overdue management, and recovery strategies.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MIS reporting, and collection management systems.
